Okapi GmbH was founded by the two managing Partners Axel Schildt and Patrick Kaiser in 2008.
Axel Schildt is responsible for conception, creative- and art-direction. Thereby he can use his experiences he has gained in the last 16 years as managing partner of the design agency fpm factor product münchen, where he did the art direction for BMW-Sports and Sedus-Stoll AG among other things.
Patrick Kaiser, managing partner of the 2000 founded IO Laboratories GbR is responsible for technology and development. He has a strong background in web-development, primarily specializing in open source technologies around the LAMP stack.
Among many other projects both partners realized movie-websites for the Constantin-Film AG (2003-2006), one of the biggest German movie and entertainment portal film.de and http://electronicbeats.net for T-mobile, nominated for “eZ site of the year 2007”.
